Honey

The honey is well-known from ancient times and was defined as “the nectar of the gods” due to its nutritional properties.

The honey is not a simple sweet substance but has notable antibacterial properties due to its high sugar concentration and its acid pH.

The bees transform the major part of the sucrose contained in the nectar secreted by the flowers into glucose and fructose, thus favoring the high digestibility and honey assimilation from human organism. Aside from the preponderant carbohydrate component, which determines its energy value, its food and therapeutic qualities are driven by its minor components.

The honey is definitively a complex product able to sustain a versatile and beneficial action on the whole human organism.

The honey has a different flavour according to the nectar collected by the bees.
